Social Ministry
|
The strength of any congregation can be measured by their outreach within the local community. The Lutheran Church of Our Savior has nurtured a very active social ministry program, offering assistance to many Dayton churches and groups. Collecting clothing, cooking at a church kitchen, sending cookies to faraway college students and finding gifts for our Adopt-A-Family recipients, and shoes and school supplies for the Back-to-School program are just a few of our annual accomplishments. We help to fund Jeremiah's Letter, the New Hope food pantry and the We-Care Arts program. Involvement in Volunteer Care-Givers, the Lutheran School of the Miami Valley are a few of our Mission partners.

| We make a big difference in the lives of many of our Lutheran brothers and sisters, as well as for many of God's children throughout the Dayton area. Giving to others can often be the greatest gift to ourselves, and to our God. |
