Director of Children and Youth Ministry (FT)
Summary
The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Oakwood OH (suburb of Dayton), is seeking a full-time Director of Children and Youth ministries (DCY). (Lutheran background is not required)
The DCY will bring energetic, passionate and creative leadership to the congregation’s children and youth ministries. We have a number of new families with children joining LCOS and need someone to oversee high quality programming for our current and future young people.
Basic Responsibilities

Develop/implement ministries such as Sunday School, VBS and youth activities.

Coordinate and oversee work with pre-k, elementary, middle, and high school aged youth.

Collaborate to foster an intergenerational culture at LCOS.

Work to involve our young people in the worship life and other areas of congregational life.

Recruit, encourage, and empower members and parents to work in these ministries.

Communicate with parents and families.

Support the Pastor in confirmation ministry.

Carry out administrative tasks and work with staff in a team setting.

In everything, help LCOS to carry out its mission: To Build Relationships with God, Each Other, and the World.

Full time salaried position.
